ABOUT LAURA
Laura recieved her Master's in Social Work degree with a specialization in Children, Youth and Families in 1997 at the University of Denver, in Denver, Colorado. Laura has been a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington since 2001 (LW00004429). Her career has taken her from outpatient community mental health to inpatient mental health, and from clinical to administrative and management roles. In addition to her current clinical practice she provides supervision to other therapists working towards licensure in both social work and mental health counseling.
Laura has experience treating a variety of issues from relationship difficulties and life stress to severe chronic mental illnesses, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and psychotic disorders. She welcomes clients of all ages and backgrounds, and has experience working with adults with developmental disabilities in addition to the general population.
